Happy Mail

I used the new Postage Collage Coloring set from Waffle Flower for today's card. The inks are from a variety of companies, mostly Gina K. and Concord & 9th. The coordinating die cuts the perforations around the stamps. Now to make some holiday cards-or do my Crop & Create September 2023 homework-I can't decide which! The Crop & Create event will be here before I know it, so I should probably work on that. But I really don't want to run out of time for all the holiday cards I want to make like I did last year. Such are the decisions of a carmaker!

Out of This World!

This week's cards are gifts for two of my nephews. Their mom says they are always excited to see what my cards do, so I made them special slider cards with their interests. The younger one likes mythology and the older one likes space. I also made my granddaughter a space card, since that's what she's into. Hers has a rocket ship that takes off from the moon when you pull a tab. All of the interactive designs and stamp sets are from Lawn Fawn, and were colored with Copic markers. The clouds behind the dragon were done in Gina K. inks and the galaxy with Distress Inks and Oxides. I hope they like them!

Let's Stamp Together July 2023

I made this card in the Scrapbook & Cards Today Let's Stamp Together July class with Kelly Kohout from Honey Bee stamps. It's considered the July class, even though it was actually held August 9th. The theme was Love You to the Core, and we made several fun apple themed cards. For this one, I created the background by stamping with Distress Oxide Antique Linen on cream paper, then colored the other stamped apple images using a stencil and Distress Oxides in Lumberjack Plaid, Rustic Wilderness, Antique Linen, and Spun Sugar. I then die cut them using the coordinating dies. The sentiment was stamped in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, and the front panel was attached to a top folding A2 card base in red using Altenew foam tape.

Make a wish!

Birthday card using the eclipse technique and Pretty Pink Posh's Wish stamp and die set, Ranger Fine Detail white embossing powder, and Gina K. inks in Red Velvet, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover, Turquoise Sea, Wild Lilac, and Passionate Pink. I've had this idea since I got this set, so it was good to finally put it to use. My ink blending could still use some improvement, especially using the small brushes I used for this.

Cool kitty!

This tan kitty knows how to keep cool with glossy sunglasses and a tasty popsicle. The watermelon paper is from the Newton's Nook Summertime pad, and the cat image, die, and sentiment are from their Newton's Summer Treats set. I cut the ovals using the Oval Frame Set, also from Newton's Nook. The solid papers I had in my stash. I colored the cat image with Copic markers and used a black Gelly Roll Glaze pen to color in his sunglasses. The popsicle is covered with Ranger Glossy Accents.

Never too early for Christmas cookies!

An entry for the Lawn Fawnatics Christmas in July challenge. Using Lawn Fawn's Platform Pop-up die, How You Bean and the Christmas Cookie add on stamps and dies, and their Stripes and Sprinkles paper. The sentiment is from the Simply Winter Sentiments, stamped in Noble Fir ink. The other images are stamped in Jet Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

A frosty Christmas

A frosty Christmas card courtesy of Gina K. Designs. The snowflakes are from her Blizzard set, stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped with Blue Lagoon ink.. It's hard to tell, but for the background I blended Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, and Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, it came out blotchier than I wanted, so I topped it with vellum. Both of those layers were cut with Master Layouts 1. The panel with the snowflakes is cut with Master Layouts 2. The sequins I had in my stash. After the blistering 100 degree plus heat here in Texas, it was fun to work on something cool.
