Be Thankful

This card was made for an Inky Paws color challenge a while back. I believe the colors were black, cream, orange, and green. Not sure if the bundle in the center is supposed to be corn or wheat, but it looks sufficiently fallish either way. I got the kitties a lot darker than I intended, but live and learn. I colored the scene with Copic markers and then used the Newton's Nook Frames and Flags die set to cut out the pieces of the card. The gingham paper is from the Newton's Nook Autumn paper pad, and the solids I had in my stash.

A Sweet Fall Card

There seem to be only two opinions on candy corn-you either love it or you hate it-there is no in between. I happen to love it and to love this Lawn Fawn stamp set that coordinates with their How You Bean jar. The background is ink blended with Distress Oxides in  Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade and then I made a shaker using fill from Trinity Stamps. I colored the inside of the jar with Copic markers and finished it off with a twine bow. As candy corn season draws to an end I wanted to share this card with you.

Cat Lovers Hop is here again!

I made this fun kitten ornament for the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop. Last year was the first year I participated, and I was only on Instagram. This year I like my entry much better-it's amazing what you can learn in a year. I used a Hero Arts ornament die to cut it out of some light blue linen textured cardstock and used Lawn Fawn's Snow Flurries stencil and Fairy Dust paste to add some sparkle to the background. The stamp is also from Lawn Fawn-it was a gift with purchase earlier this fall and does not have a coordinating die, which left me fussy cutting it-I don't like fussy cutting, for the record.  I think it came out fairly well. I colored it with Copic markers and used Wink of Stella on the white part of the stocking for more sparkle. I'm so sorry! I've tried and tried to add the badge, but I'm doing something wrong and it won't let me. I hope Orlando is not too mad at me!

Fall Fun!

Using Lawn Fawn's platform pop-up and add-on, I created this fall scene. The hedgehog is going to undo all the cat's hard work when he lands in that leaf pile! And the fox is just peeking out to watch the aftermath. Other stamp sets used were Purrfectly Wicked, Jump for Joy, and Into the Woods. The images were colored with Copic markers.

Fall Breeze, Autumn Leaves

This card incorporates the Newton's Nook Autumn paper pad, their Frames and Flags die set, and the Autumn Newton stamp set. The image was colored with Prismacolor colored pencils. I love the colorful leaves in the fall, and where I live we really don't get much in the way of changing leaves, so this card represents my wish. I had to make Newton a Siamese this time to honor the cat I had growing up.

Paper pieced pumpkins

This is from the Lawn Fawn fall/winter release. The pumpkins and wagon are done with their red/orange canvas card stock and black licorice outline using their adhesive sheets to hold the pieces in place. I used Watercolor Wishes paper for the sky and grass, which was cut with the Grassy Hillside border and a  Small Stitched Rectangle. I then cut a Large Stitched Rectangle from some Fall Fling paper and mounted the smaller rectangle using foam tape. The sentiment is from Simply Celebrate Fall.

Shades of orange

This card is an entry in Lawn Fawn's monochrome challenge. I chose to ink a background with Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade and then stencil with the same shade in Distress Oxide using the Fall Leaves Background stencil. The pumpkins and sentiment are from the Simply Celebrate Fall stamp set. The pumpkins were colored with Copic markers and I inked the background of the sentiment, then cut it out with the Everyday Sentiment Banners die.

I'm so sorry!

It's been so long since I posted, and for that I apologize. Life got in the way as it always does. But check out the neat marker holder a friend made me. The shelves are adjustable. You can also see my ink cube storage and my ink pad swatches. Just started the swatches but I think they will come in really handy.

Happy Mail

I used the new Postage Collage Coloring set from Waffle Flower for today's card. The inks are from a variety of companies, mostly Gina ...
