Birthday wishes

 This card is for my sister-in-law, whose birthday was yesterday. She likes gold, but I couldn’t make gold flowers, so I settled for yellow, with a gold heat embossed sentiment and gold embellishments. The stencil and stamp combination are called Buds and Blossoms by Taylored Expressions, and the Sentiment Staples stamp set is also by Taylored Expressions. The inks are Simon Hurley’s Later Gator and Slippery When Wet, Ranger Archival Ink in Sunflower, and Gina K. Sweet Mango. I used Ranger’s Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Gold, and Gorgeous Gold Baubles from Trinity Stamps.

In other news, this is my 100th post, and I want to thank all my readers and commenters, but especially my friend who gave me the impetus to start this blog back up and be consistent in posting. Which means Ireland Forever! It’s a few days early, but I wanted to share this St. Patrick’s Day card. I only used three shades of green instead of forty, but I still like the effect. Stamps are by Lawn Fawn, their Celebration Scripty Sentiments and Simply Celebrate Spring sets, along with their Noble Fir ink. The other two colors are Later Gator and Fake Plant, both by Simon Hurley for Ranger. I also used Ranger’s Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder in gold and Simon Says Stamp Gold Matte cardstock. The panels were cut with Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables, and the top panel was popped up on Altenew foam tape.

Simple and charming

 This card uses two new products from Newton’s Nook- their Card Layout 6 die and their Happy Easter paper pack. The aqua outline paper is from my stash and the sentiment is from Newton’s Easter Basket, stamped in Ranger Archival Ink in Aquamarine.

Make a wish!

 Birthday card using the eclipse technique and Pretty Pink Posh's Wish stamp and die set, Ranger Fine Detail white embossing powder, and Gina K. inks in Red Velvet, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover, Turquoise Sea, Wild Lilac, and Passionate Pink. I've had this idea since I got this set, so it was good to finally put it to use. My ink blending could still use some improvement, especially using the small brushes I used for this.

Cool kitty!

 This tan kitty knows how to keep cool with glossy sunglasses and a tasty popsicle. The watermelon paper is from the Newton's Nook Summertime pad, and the cat image, die, and sentiment are from their Newton's Summer Treats set. I cut the ovals using the Oval Frame Set, also from Newton's Nook. The solid papers I had in my stash. I colored the cat image with Copic markers and used a black Gelly Roll Glaze pen to color in his sunglasses. The popsicle is covered with Ranger Glossy Accents. 

Birthday Background

 This card uses Taylored Expressions Party Vibes Background, stamped and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail White embossing powder. I then blended Bubblegum, Lemonade, Mermaid, and Grape Soda Lawn Fawn inks across it. I cut it down using a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles die. I used a CZ Design by Simon Says Stamp happy birthday die. I colored the letters with the same Bubblegum ink I used for the blending. I mounted it on a 4.25x5.5 top folding notecard. I then finished it off with a few iridescent sequins.

Shake things up!

 I love to make shaker cards and I've had the idea for this one for a long time. The Lawn Fawn bunnies and eggs on the front were stamped and embossed in Ranger Fine Detail white embossing powder and then I ink blended over them. The large egg cut out is from Lawn Fawn's Outside In Easter Egg Stackables. On the inside, I stamped and white embossed again this time using the Simon Says Stamp Doodle Egg Background stamp. Then I used Altenew foam tape to put it all together and decorated the front with some Gina K. sequins. The shaker fill is Brutus Monroe's Spring sequin mix. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire to mix it up and use products from different companies together. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
