I made this fun kitten ornament for the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop. Last year was the first year I participated, and I was only on Instagram. This year I like my entry much better-it's amazing what you can learn in a year. I used a Hero Arts ornament die to cut it out of some light blue linen textured cardstock and used Lawn Fawn's Snow Flurries stencil and Fairy Dust paste to add some sparkle to the background. The stamp is also from Lawn Fawn-it was a gift with purchase earlier this fall and does not have a coordinating die, which left me fussy cutting it-I don't like fussy cutting, for the record. I think it came out fairly well. I colored it with Copic markers and used Wink of Stella on the white part of the stocking for more sparkle. I'm so sorry! I've tried and tried to add the badge, but I'm doing something wrong and it won't let me. I hope Orlando is not too mad at me!

ReplyDeleteI agree, I'm still learning each year. It's so much fun and everyone is so encouraging. I really like this little ornament. Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely darling!! I have 9 nieces & nephews that I have made an ornament for - for many years!! Not all paper, some clay or cross stitch, etc., but always fun to do. There is only one young niece left for me to make one for now ... she's only 12 so a few more years to go! lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on starting your blog, Christilyn!
ReplyDeleteYour tree ornament is wonderful - you did a great job with fussy cutting and colouring the kitty in a stocking. Happy hopping at the Cat Lovers Hop! x
